The Menudo at Teresa’s Mosaic cafe a try. It was delicious! Not greasy at all, and they serve the menudo spices on the side so you can make it as hot as you like. And speaking of hot, they garnished the margarita with a jalapeno in addition to the usual salt and lime. It was the perfect combination of salty, sweet and spicy.

I visited an authentic South Philadelphia style cheesesteak shop, a combo Jewish/Italian deli, and a place whose name was inspired by The Lord of the Rings (Baggin’s). Retro Monster Masks 6

Retro Monster Masks 6

My husband Jason collects monster masks. Eventually I had to declare that I only had one rule in our marriage, “NO monsters in the bedroom.” The monsters are almost everywhere else though, so when he came to me one day asking that I photograph all of the monsters in different classic settings, I sighed, but agreed, on the condition that he do all the styling. Every few days he came to me with a different idea that I diligently photographed, and we ended up with quite a collection. Below are some of my favorites (Ok, I did have a lot of fun.) You can see the whole series at Jason’s Flickr group.
