A while back Diane Kashy and the folks at Madden sent me out into the night to find and photograph plants that only bloom by the light of the moon. I wandered my neighborhood and the grounds at Hacienda del Sol which is an old boarding school turned into an inn. Here is a link to the article which is running this month in Tucson Home Magazine.
My newest book cover photograph is for Vanilla Ride by Joe Lansdale. The super amazing Chip Kidd at Knopf designed the layout.
Two images from my series Social Obligations were chosen for American Photography 24. The images are from different social events that I had to attend for one reason or another. I’m fascinated by gender roles and power plays.
I have three portraits featured in the October issue of Tucson Lifestyle Magazine
I have been awarded two honorable mentions in the 2008 International Photography Awards Competition: In the Fine Art professional category for my food series, “Things I Ate” and for my “Self Portrait with Harvest Feast”. My images were chosen from over 22,000 entries.
If you are traveling through the Denver Airport please stop and see my work in the Main Gallery. It’s included in the Center For Fine Art Photography’s DIA International Exhibition through July
Over the summer I was lucky enough to work as the still photographer on three episodes of the show Ghost Hunters for the Sci-Fi Channel. Basically I tromped around in the dark looking for ghosts with the show’s amazing cast and crew. It was a TON of fun! You can see some more of my images on the Ghost Hunters website or on TV Guide.com.
